How to Become a Member

here are basically two windows option to become a Chartered Cost Manager.
1. By examination
2. Direct membership

The Institute opened a new door of professionalism since 2001 through the direct membership concession and subsequently advanced to examination option. Today, the Institute has over 7000 members across all disciplines and economic sectors.

Membership admission is still opened for interested and qualified individuals and organisations

Examination windows

This is available for young graduates through the abridged syllabus of the professional examination.

Methodology

Online/Distant learning with physical assessment examination at the end of study.

Lecture/Tuition fee:

N50,000 per module

Duration:

2/3 months

Examination dates:

March/April, June/July and November/December each year.

Examination registration fee:

N50,000 per module. All module can be attempted in one diet
subject to a minimum of 2 module per diet. Certificate can only be awarded on full successful
completion.

Abridged Syllabus contents

Module 1- Fundamentals of Cost Management Practice;
Module 2 – Cost Management Psychology;
Module 3 – Application of Cost Management Techniques.
Module 4 – Multidisciplinary Cost Management Practice and Cases

Membership admission point is Associate (ACCM)-Associate Chartered Cost Manager.

After successful completion of the examination admission will be based on application for membership admission with the payment of admission fee of N25,000 and approved inductionfee.

Direct Membership Windows: Direct Membership Windows:

Associate (ACCM) membership:

2-4 years post qualification work experience in any discipline. Admission fee inclusive of induction fee N150,000.

Full Membership (MCCM):

5-9 years post qualification work experience in any discipline. Admission fee inclusive of induction fee N200,000.

Fellow (FCCM) membership:

Above 10 years post qualification work experience in any discipline. Admission fee inclusive of induction fee N300,000.

Corporate membership

This is open to organization. Requirement: the organization must have at least two members in the senior management level. Admission fee is N850,000.

Acceptability of Certificate

Certificate is acceptable in both public and private sector organization with job opportunitiesopened in private practice as Cost Management Consultant
